Renata Bobakova is an instructional designer with the Center for Teaching Excellence. Renata obtained her master’s degree in teaching English as a second/foreign language and English literature in 2003, and she devoted some of her early teaching years assisting refugees, immigrants, and at-risk youth. Renata has been working in the field of higher education since 2007. She has served as an English Language Fellow at Ibnou Zohr University in Agadir, Morocco, and as a Teaching Fellow at Nazarbayev University in Astana, Kazakhstan. Renata has also previously spent nine years at the University of South Carolina, working as an ESL instructor, curriculum coordinator, teacher trainer, mentor, presenter, and assistant academic director. Renata is deeply passionate about helping instructors become inquisitive, innovative, motivating, engaging, confident, and expert educators.
