Develop a Short-Term Program

Overseas study can be an effective tool within any academic discipline. You are encouraged to consider developing and leading a Global Classroom Program for UofSC students.  These faculty and staff-led, short-term programs create valuable intercultural learning opportunities for students.

Steps to Lead Abroad

All resources and guidance for Global Classrooms are housed in the Global Classroom Resources page in Blackboard.  Please enter your UofSC email to be added to the Blackboard organization. All faculty and staff leading programs are automatically added each year.

Global Classroom Proposal Deadlines

Program proposals should be submitted by the following dates for programs occuring in the academic year that follows:

  • June 15: Early Bird Deadline for New and Repeat Programs
  • August 15: New Programs
  • August 31: Repeat Programs*

*To qualify as a repeat, programs must have been submitted and approved as a new proposal in the previous two years and not have made any changes to the course, program leader, provider, location, etc.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
