The laboratory at the University of South Carolina is COLA accredited. COLA an independent accreditor and the premier clinical laboratory education, consultation and accreditation organization. Completing COLA's accreditation program means a clinical laboratory is in compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).
The laboratory is certified at a level of moderate complexity by accreditation under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). The objective of the CLIA program is to ensure quality laboratory testing.
