by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care to ensure compliance with
the high standards of this nationally recognized accrediting organization.
Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA)
The laboratory at the University of South Carolina is COLA accredited. COLA an independent
accreditor and the premier clinical laboratory education, consultation and accreditation
organization. Completing COLA's accreditation program means a clinical laboratory
is in compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).
Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA)
The laboratory is certified at a level of moderate complexity by accreditation under
the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). The objective of the CLIA program
is to ensure quality laboratory testing.
American Psychological Association
The American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation has granted continued
accreditation to Counseling & Psychiatry’s doctoral internship in health services
psychology through 2029.
