Biography:
A PhD Candidate interested in how intractable conflict can be mediated by the use
and abuse of words, Michael's research focuses on charting the rhetorical nature of
negotiations and arguments undergone in the name of peace, with an eye turned particularly
toward what lessons such sites of rhetorical excavation might teach us about how to
live harmoniously - and rhetorically - in a more just and peaceful society, together.
