McCausland College Policy on Indirect Costs This revision 1) clarifies that any cost share and ‘in-kind’ contributions for grant awards will be shared between the unit and college based on IDC, which will also negate IDC distribution for PI on that award, and 2) defines the timing for IDC distribution to PIs. |

McCausland College Start Up Funds Guidelines Changes to this policy include new guidance for allowing incoming faculty, under exceptional circumstances, to pre-spend on their startup if the unit assumes responsibility for expenditures should the faculty member decide to not come to USC. |

Appointment and Review of Chairs and Directors |
Changes to this policy include: Aligning due dates of individual and administrative activity reports and removing the requirement of annual review surveys by the College. Annual reviews will continued to be conducted by the College. Comprehensive reviews with surveys will occur only at the end of each Chair and Director appointment. The Dean may also decide to initiate a survey review during the appointment. |
