There is a much higher demand for cybersecurity skills than there are available employees with those skills.
A 2020 study revealed that by 2024 there would be three million cybersecurity jobs unfilled. The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that the cybersecurity industry unemployment rate has stayed close to zero for over a decade, and someone with less than five years of experience in cybersecurity can earn around $100,000 a year.
