2025 - Risk (of) Communication

Conclave 2025 explored the varied complexities of risk communication, including the concept of risk (of) communication, the necessity of communicating risks, and the potential risks built in the communication process itself. These risks may include the amplification of fear, the misinterpretation of information, and the dissemination of misinformation. Projects outside the Conclave theme were also presented, relevant to ethics and futurism, as we are the original futures conference in strategic communication. Disaster management, crises, internal communication, gaslighting and deception, social responsibility, internal communication, and ethics topics were prevalent at the Sardinia Conclave.

2024 - Ethics and Futurism

Ethics is taking an even more vital role than ever before in our world filled with conflicts, wars, shortages, health problems, crises, and rapid  technological changes. It is clear: in the future, ethics must take a central role in society’s response to these issues — and that response is critical to the strategic communication management discipline and even to civilization itself. To thrive in the future or just exist … may all be a matter of ethics.  We will discuss research about these issues as a small conclave of leading scholars and professionals.

2023 - "The Future"

In March 2023, the Consortium held an inaugural intimate Conclave of strategic communication thought leaders from around the globe to encourage dialogue, brainstorming, collaborative research projects and output, and new theory building. The intense and futuristic papers and discussion from the Conclave(s) will create a lasting impact on the scholarship and practice of strategic communication. Most Conclave participants hold well over 100 peer reviewed publications and numerous books each.
