Certificate in Library Studies
The Certificate in Library Studies is a non-credit professional development certificate offered by the iSchool at the University of South Carolina. The six-month program is designed to provide public library staff with a foundational understanding of important ideas and values of the profession.
Topics include:
- Advocacy
- Programming
- Professional Ethics
- Social Engagement
- Cultural Competence
- Information Seeking Behavior
- Principles of Collection Management

- Online, asynchronous -paced for full-time staff
