Student Government, Greek Life and undergraduate internships!
Hi y'all! My name is Courtney Tkacs and I am currently am a junior on the pre-law track. I am heavily involved on and off campus through my position as Student Body Vice President and my legal research internship at the South Carolina Statehouse. However my favorite thing I get to do, is share my love for the university with prospective and new students, so they can learn to love this school just as much as I do.

Why I chose the South Carolina Honors College
I chose SCHC due to do the curriculum that develops you holistically and not just academically. I felt like I would be prepared for my life outside of college through the Honors college.
My advice for prospective students: My advice for prospective students is to get involved in a variety of things! College is a time for you to join organizations that cater to your interests and not just for your resume!
Favorite question during an information session: I absolutely love asking how to get involved in college! It is so easy to find your community and home on campus through Garnet Gate and by attending our Student Org Fair. We have over 600+ clubs on campus that cater to very broad or niche areas of interest. And the best part is, if you can't find a club that best suites you, you can start one!
