Cami is a proud alumna of the South Carolina Honors College and the Top Scholars Program. She previously served as a middle school science teacher, where she led innovative curriculum design and began her ongoing advocacy to promote real-world success for equitable and meaningful learning. Cami developed her educational leadership skills through various roles, such as SC ADEPT Mentor and District Cohort Facilitator.

In her current role, Cami advises Honors College students across multiple disciplines and strives to improve academic processes. She supports student transition and leadership by coordinating the Honors Peer Mentor Program. Additionally, Cami strategically plans, executes and assesses signature events for the Honors College. She is an instructor for University 101 and has piloted the Honors STEM section which travels to the Baruch Institute of Coastal and Marine Sciences.

Cami is passionate about supporting women in STEM and promoting holistic learning through teaching excellence, experiential opportunities and evidence-driven practices. She hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in education in the next few years.
