Mentoring Program

Our Mentorship Program enables prospective students from ethnically diverse backgrounds to forge one-on-one mentorships with first and second year students, faculty and alumni from the USC Genetic Counseling Program. This initiative facilitates personal connection and accessibility to create meaningful and longstanding relationships for underrepresented minorities. Mentors can answer general questions, guide career preparation and offer application advice for internships, assistantships and graduate programs.

The Genetic Counseling Mentee is an individual from an ethnically diverse background seeking advice in their application process, training or in their new career as a genetic counselor.

The Genetic Counseling Mentor is a first or second year student, new graduate or seasoned alum who is willing to share their educational and professional experience.
