Kendall Roth is Distinguished Professor Emeritus and currently the Executive Director of the USC Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER). He also serves on the board of directors for the Folks Center for International Business. He received his Ph.D. in international business from the University of South Carolina in 1986 and then joined the faculty of Darla Moore School of Business. He has served the Moore School in a variety of capacities, including: Senior Associate Dean, International Programs and Partnership; Chair, Sonoco International Business Department and Ph.D. Director of the International Business major.

Dr. Roth’s research has been published in numerous academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of International Business Studies and Strategic Management Journal. He currently serves on the editorial boards of Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal and Global Strategy Journal. He has been involved in the Academy of Management, serving in roles such as a member of the Research Committee, chairing the AMJ Best Paper Committee and various other activities such as mid-career and junior faculty consortiums. He is a recipient of the Academy’s International Management Division Amorepacific Outstanding Educator Award. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and has been recognized with the Gold Medal Award for being one of the most published authors in the journal. He has served in the Academy in various roles such as the chair of the Richard Farmer Dissertation Award Committee, the AIB Fellows Educator of the Year committee and as a member of the AIB Best Paper Award Committee.
