Our program prepares you for a satisfying career serving individuals, families and communities. The Bachelor of Social Work curriculum grounds you in a liberal arts education and provides the values, skills, knowledge and competencies necessary for generalist social work practice.
Curriculum
Undergraduate social work students take a combination of foundational liberal arts and sciences and advanced courses to develop professional knowledge and skills.
Field Education
Develop your professional skills by directly serving clients at clinics and organizations throughout the Columbia area during your junior and senior year.
Licensure
Each state has its own licensing board with its own social work licensure requirements. Our curriculum is designed to prepare you to become a competent, caring Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker.
